A Creole style seafood gumbo inspired by my namesake and grandmother, Joyce Krebs Goff. I took her recipe and made a couple of tweaks, but one thing stayed the same-NO SHORTCUTS. The secret ingredient here is time and making everything from scratch. A medium-dark roux, layered with homemade seafood stock, diced tomatoes, the Holy Trinity (onions, bell peppers, celery), okra, special family seasonings and lots of fresh gulf shrimp and lump crab meat. Splash in the Tabasco and top it with a scoop of our perfect potato salad if you know what’s good for ya! This one is a treat to have in the freezer!
